In honor of Dr. Seuss' Birthday the girls and I will be headed out to see The Lorax and reading lots of Dr. Seuss books.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a totally seperate note, I have started to receive letters, texts, emails, and phone calls back from my letters. When I set out to write a letter a week, I never really thought about receiving responses but it is pretty cool to hear peoples reactions.
52 letters week 8
I am leading a Battle of the Books group with my daughter and 4 of her friends. The experience has been very rewarding. It's nice to get to know the girls on a different level and see my daughter interact with her friends.
This week I decided to write each of the girls (including my daughter) a note of encouragement. I found the most adorable note/post cards at Stephanie Fizer Coleman.
I just love, love, love these notecards! They were so perfect.
I am so glad that I decided to take on this project. I'm only into week 9 and have found it to be so rewarding. I find myself thinking; who can I write next? Here are a couple people that I am thinking of:
A teacher A note to your future self
The Mailman To your childre
A Neighbor To the barista who always makes your latte perfect
A Celebrity Someone you admire or highly respect
A political figure A co-worker for always having your back
Just a couple thoughts / ideas of where you could go with this.
I'm off to enjoy parent / teacher conferences and spend the afternoon with my kiddos. I hope you find time today to write a letter.
Thanks for stopping by.

These are cute cards! Love Penny Scrap-aholic.blogspot.com

What a great idea!
I always complain at the lack of mail that comes through the post office.
I miss snail mail.
But maybe I should be more proactive :)

That is an awesome idea! The art of letter-writing is fading fast and this is a great way to revive it. Thanks for sharing!
