Well after a week of being sick and taking care of 2 other sick family members I feel pretty good about getting back to the swing of things. We had a horrible cold that sucked the life out of us. Literally, didn't feel like moving. I, of course, had a major deadline at work and was forced to go into the office 3 days that week (normally, I work from home) with Ms. B in tow. I feel good that I made it it through but man did my house and organization fall apart.
So, here I am finally with week 6. I will post week 7 tomorrow. Can't believe we've been doing this for 7 weeks already. WOW!
This is the 2 page spread. I included an 8.5 x 11 sleeve of the People cover and article on Whitney. I also attached on the back side my feelings of her death and favorite Whitney song.
This is the 2 page spread with the Whitney sleeve turned. You can see my little note at the bottom. I used an Elles Studio tag for this.
This is the left side. I included a coloring sheet Bella brought home. Instead of including the entire sheet I cut it down to fit in the regurlar 4x6 and then trimmed her name out and put it in the opposite sleeve. This is the first time I noticed her writing on a sheet. I also downloaded from the internet book covers from the books Autumn and I are reading and then put them on a 4x6 photo using Adobe. Ali has a great tutorial on her website on how to do this. It's pretty simple.
The right side includes some photos of Valentines goodies the kids and I made. I also had a story to tell that wouldn't fit onto a small journaling card. I did use the folded card but instead of folding it and putting it in a small pocket, I opened it flat and wrote my journaling on front/back and then put it in a 4x6 pocket opposite of the picture that went along with the story.
I didn't have tons of photos this week but was still able to capture pieces of our life.
I love that Autumn is so willing to grab the camera and take photos. She took this one of Chuck and I before we were headed out to a charity function. And on top of that, she was quick to remind me that I could use it for a project that I'm working on where I need photos of her dad and I (theres not a lot since the kiddos). I think I have her trained well.
I'll be back tomorrow with week 7. Thanks for stopping by.

It's looking great!

I love how you incorporated memorabilia in your layout. Great job! Sure hope everyone is over your nasty colds. They are going around in my neck of the woods, too. Just stocked up on vitamin C. Take care!
